Independence Day is not just a national festival but one of the most significant milestones in our country’s history. On 15th August 1947, India broke free from the long reign of British rule and emerged as an independent nation on the world map.
This day is a tribute to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and a reminder of our democratic values. This year, the entire nation celebrated the 79th Independence Day with immense enthusiasm.
In Pune city’s Baner area, the 79th Independence Day celebration was held in a lively atmosphere by Yashwin, Water’s Edge, Nia, and Fensia Societies.
Society members, women, and children participated enthusiastically in the celebration.
The event began with the hoisting of the national flag by Samir Chandere, Youth City President of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Pune.
After the flag hoisting, Samir Chandere extended his greetings to the members of the societies, interacted with the dignitaries present, and engaged in friendly conversations with the children.
